Course Overview
This online course identifies the applicable regulations that must be consulted to create a consumer product label in the USA, including those that fall under the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
What You Will Learn
Specific labeling requirements exist for different product types, specific substances and hazard classifications. Since all of the specific labeling statements cannot be individually addressed, our aim is to guide students through the regulations so that they are able to design their own label creation and review process. The Hazard Substance Categories and classification criteria will also be reviewed under the Federal Hazardous Substance Act (FHSA).
- Module 1 - Label overview and general considerations under Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) (23 minutes)
- Module 2 - Classification and Specific labelling required under Federal Hazardous Substance Act (FHSA) (19 minutes)
