January 15, 2015, Greener Chemical Industry – The “12th Five-Year” Leader Awards Ceremony, sponsored by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) and China Chemical Industry News Office was held in Cangzhou, Hebei, China. Wanhua Chemical Group CO., LTD. was named the most socially responsible enterprise for responsible care efforts.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Wanhua starts reducing the harm to the environment by optimizing production processes and controlling pollutant emissions. In 2015, we donated ￥500,000 to the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation to help bring the “Nest Project” to poverty-stricken areas where the money will be spent on building decent dormitories for children. The Wonder Lab and the Wanhua Cup National Collegiate Innovation Design Contest are also parts of our social responsibility projects implemented to engage kids with chemistry and science and to encourage creative thinking and daring concepts.
