\"a Cr\u00e8me-gels are a delightfully light product form that helps deliver hydration, emolliency and actives. They don\u2019t need traditional emulsifiers, but instead, as their name suggests, are a cream in a moisturising-gel form. They\u2019re particularly suited to skin types where heavy emolliency is not desired \u2013 those prone to acne or oily skin types, Asian and African\/Caribbean skin types and male skin care products.<\/p>\n

Standard polymers are not usually sufficient to stabilise the high lipid content still used in these product types, so special \u2018polymeric emulsifiers\u2019 are used instead. These polymeric emulsifiers are a special blend of polymer + surfactant + lipid that enable stable cr\u00e8me-gels to be formed with a unique sensory profile. The amount to use in formulas is also significantly different to how traditional emulsifiers are used \u2013 often, less is best!<\/p>\n

Cr\u00e8me-gels can also be cold processed \u2013 saving manufacturing time and costs; or can be mixed with a small input of emulsifier for an even creamier end product.<\/p>\n
