We will show these and even more and explain how they are created and how they can be overcome using products from our broad Coating Additives portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>One example is the burnish phenomena: For interior wall paints it is very important to have a certain mechanical resistance e.g. burnish resistance. This is the ability for a paint to maintain it\u00b4s visual appearance after scrubbing the surface with a non-abrasive material such as sponge, clothes, skin or leather. Without this ability the paint film will change its colour or gloss leading to an inhomogeneous appearance. This loss in decoration quality often results in earlier maintenance work.
