\nAllnex will present a symposium of four webinars to address the topic of low gloss industrial coatings, and will showcase their gloss-control technologies specifically designed to meet the needs of the market in this challenging area of coating technology. The first of these webinars will introduce the topic of gloss reduction, highlighting the market trends for low gloss coatings, the physical fundamentals of low gloss, the challenges which face specific coating technologies and an overview of the innovative solutions developed by allnex. There will then follow three stand-alone webinars which will deep-dive into resin technologies for liquid coatings, radiation-cured coatings and powder coatings. Experts from the allnex technical community will explore in detail new innovative technology development as well as describe successfully commercialised product portfolios for the different coating types.<\/p>\n

For liquid coatings, we will present a newly developed technology to matte 2K paint systems, based on urea crystals present in the binder component. These systems facilitate excellent matting efficiency even at moderate particle loading, and final gloss levels that can be easily controlled across a very broad range. For radiation-cured coatings, we will introduce the excimer concept, discuss the advantages and challenges and guide you through resin selection to achieve dead matte surfaces exerting other performance attributes such as bio-based content, weatherability, scratch resistance, easy-to-clean. Additionally, we will introduce other UV\/EB curable matting concepts and display our UV\/EB curable resin offering for low gloss systems. For powder coatings, we will discuss the various options available to reduce coating gloss depending on the different curing chemistries and processing technologies available, describe advantages and disadvantages of the systems and present examples of allnex\u2019 resin portfolio.<\/p>\n
