A few years ago, allnex took a next step in improving 2k isocyanate curing systems and introduced Fast Cure resins. The first applications mainly focused on Vehicle Refinish clear coats, giving paint formulators the benefit of extremely fast drying with long potlife and excellent (early) hardness; these are now well-established in the market. In the recent period, allnex has continued to explore new applications using this versatile technology. This webinar will discuss some of these new applications.<\/p>\n

First, background information will be presented explaining the advantages of Fast Cure from a physical perspective. Then the focus will be on how Fast Cure technology can be used beneficially in scratch resistance applications in combination with MODAFLOW\u00ae NSR 100, contributing to very high gloss retention after dry scratch tests. Furthermore, it will be shown how Fast Cure technology can contribute to solve issues typically found in low bake applications for OEM and Plastics. Fast Cure resins combined with our newly developed Fast Cure compatible SCA resin will result in good sag resistance, good appearance and excellent chemical resistance.<\/p>\n

A second main topic in this webinar is novel Fast Cure polyester resins, newly introduced by allnex, for application in pigmented topcoats for General Industry, Rail and ACE. Data will be presented showing how also in these applications, paint formulators have the advantage of fast drying, long potlife and excellent (early) hardness combined with good chemical resistance and corrosion protection offered by allnex Fast Cure technology.<\/p>\n
