This results in skin ageing and skin damage. Antioxidants protect and support the skin by neutralising free radicals to delay skin ageing. Astaxanthin is gained from the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis, which BDI-BioLife Science produces in its own cultivation plant. Due to its unique chemical composition, astaxanthin stands out from the group of antioxidants and is truly a diamond. It is the strongest natural antioxidant worldwide and thanks to its hydrophilic and lipophilic properties, it can fully enter the cell and protect it from all environmental influences.
