Nansha, China, 5 November 2014<\/strong> \u2013 Lonza Guangzhou Nansha Ltd. today celebrated the\u00a0official opening of the new niacinamide plant in Nansha, China, with a launch ceremony\u00a0honoring the occasion. Invited dignitaries included district and other government officials, as\u00a0well as the Swiss Consul General for Guangzhou. Approximately 300 people attended the\u00a0event. In addition to the crystal-ball launching ceremony, the event activities included welcome\u00a0addresses, a plant tour, refreshments and traditional lion dancing.<\/p>\n

The new niacinamide plant has been running and stable since 1 July 2014 and will satisfy the\u00a0growing market demand in terms of both capacity and products.\u00a0Overall, the Nansha site of Lonza covers an area of 220,000 square meters. Products and\u00a0services include niacinamide (vitamin B3)<\/a> (EU<\/a>) and the L-Carnitine series<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>) products for both human\u00a0and animal foods and supplements; hygiene and preservative series products; active\u00a0pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs); chemical intermediates and custom development services.<\/p>\n
