In addition, supplier <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ulprospector.com\/en\/na\/PersonalCare\/Suppliers\/134\/Croda-Inc\/search?sug=1&amp;st=31\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Croda<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ulprospector.com\/en\/eu\/PersonalCare\/Suppliers\/1409\/Croda\/search?sug=1&amp;st=31\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU<\/a>) has unveiled plans for improvements to its Delaware, U.S. manufacturing site to enable the production of \u201c100% sustainable non-ionic surfactants\u201d derived from plants.<\/p>\n<h3>News Drill Down:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As the U.S. economy strengthens, the demand for \u201chigher performance and naturally-derived surfactants\u201d is also growing at a steady pace, according to an article on cosmeticsdesign.com.<\/li>\n<li>A study by the Fredonia Group points to the potential opportunity for suppliers to offer surfactants that are \u201cgentle on the skin and hair, while also environmentally sustainable.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>A new soybean oil-based polymeric surfactant (SBPS) developed by the Voronov Research Group at North Dakota State University has shown promising results for use in shampoo formulations, according to the groups\u2019 website.<\/li>\n<li>The new facility at Croda\u2019s Atlas Point plant in Delaware, United States will begin producing plant-based non-ionic surfactants in 2017.
