It introduces slow beauty and anti-pollutant cosmetics. \u201cAchieve performance\u201d focuses on efficacy and product personalization, harnessing BASF\u2019s findings in the fields of epigenetics and bio- mimetics, whereas \u201cSmart &amp; Seamless\u201d includes minimalist formulations that support a simple, healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n<h4>Dermagenist\u2122: first active to benefit from BASF\u2019s findings on epigenetics<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carecreations.basf.com\/product-formulations\/product-highlights\/product-highlights-detail\/Dermagenist%C3%A2%C2%84%C2%A2%20BC%2010004\/30646543\">Dermagenist\u2122<\/a>, an extract from <em>origanum majorana <\/em>leaves, rich in Vicenin and Luteolin-7-0-glucuronide, is BASF\u2019s first active ingredient to\u00a0 reverse\u00a0 methylation\u00a0 in fibroblasts,\u00a0 re-engaging\u00a0 the\u00a0 cells\u00a0 in the production of extracellular components and collagen. At the same time, the active stimulates actin synthesis, thereby strengthening the cells\u2019 cytoskeleton. Fibroblasts regain their contractility, retrieve their strong adhesion and resume interactions with the surrounding dermal matrix. Dermagenist thus restores the skin\u2019s density and firmness and effectively reverses the visible signs of skin aging.<\/p>\n<h4>Relipidium\u2122: BASF\u2019s first active to reverse skin dehydration by rebalancing the skin\u2019s microbiota<\/h4>\n<p>To reverse the vicious circle of skin dehydration caused by microbial dysbiosis, BASF has developed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carecreations.basf.com\/product-formulations\/product-highlights\/product-highlights-detail\/RELIPIDIUM%C3%A2%C2%84%C2%A2\/30548378\">Relipidium\u2122<\/a> \u2013 its first active ingredient that rebalances the skin\u2019s ecosystem to restore the skin barrier and to correct skin dryness. The active stimulates the synthesis of lipids in the epidermis, speeding up barrier recovery and strengthening the skin\u2019s defense. Relipidium is obtained from bacterial fermentation (yeast hydrolysate, biofermented by <em>lactobacillus plantarum<\/em>).<\/p>\n<h4>Nutrilan\u00ae Keratin LM and Gluadin\u00ae Kera-P LM: new micro- proteins repair hair on the inside<\/h4>\n<p>While many protein hydrolysates produce their effects on the hair surface or in the cuticle, BASF\u2019s new low molecular weight proteins Nutrilan\u00ae Keratin LM and Gluadin\u00ae Kera-P LM penetrate through the cuticle deep into the cortex. This is where they help rebuild the hair with missing protein building blocks and contribute to stress-relief. On the hair surface, both micro-proteins provide protection for the cuticle. Where normally free radicals cause protein degradation ultimately leading to weak hair, Nutrilan Keratin LM and Gluadin Kera-P LM reduce hair damage thanks to their double protective effect: Firstly, both proteins diminish the copper bond with hair and reduce damage caused by oxidative stress; secondly, they are able to intercept free radicals and thus prevent premature hair aging. Gluadin Kera-P LM is based on plant-derived protein building blocks.
