This acquisition strengthens Seppic\u2019s footprint in natural active ingredients for cosmetics.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The global specialty active ingredients for cosmetics represent a market over \u20ac900\u00a0million, of which\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">natural active ingredients<\/strong>\u00a0are a\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">fast growing segment<\/strong>. Building on the 2013 acquisition of BiotechMarine, specialized in natural substances for cosmetics manufacturers, the acquisition of Serdex adds new natural ingredients to Seppic\u2019s portfolio, increasing its offer to meet the\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">expectations of consumers for natural products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Serdex, the specialist of botanical active ingredients for dermo-cosmetics and skin treatment, with a\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">turnover of \u20ac8\u00a0million in 2015<\/strong>, has joined Seppic with its 40\u00a0employees, based in South-West France, Pau. Serdex brings to Seppic its expertise in\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">high purity extraction<\/strong>, in\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">sourcing<\/strong>\u00a0of exotic plants, and its\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">knowledge<\/strong>\u00a0of Malagasy plants notably.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Fran\u00e7ois Jackow<\/strong>, member of the Air\u00a0Liquide group\u2019s Executive Committee, supervising the Healthcare activities, said:\u00a0<strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u201c<\/strong><strong><em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">We warmly welcome Serdex teams.
