This is designed specifically for recycled plastic compounders with a view to working hand-in-hand to come up with tailored, &#8220;near virgin&#8221; solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Recycling plastic is both an environmental necessity and an economic opportunity due to the problems inherent in the disposal of plastic waste and to the energy savings that can be made by using recycled resins.<\/p>\n<p>Imerys Performance Additives is already successfully serving the recycling market for extrusion and injection applications with an innovative engineered mineral designed to compatibilise recycled blends of PE and PP. Compounded with ImerLink\u2122, recycled polyolefins materials that would otherwise not be compatible can now be processed without any difficulty, used in higher value applications and meet key performance requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Using Imerys Performance Additives\u2019 in-house compounding and material test facilities, trial compound batches can be designed, manufactured and tested to ensure that they meet the requirements of our recycler customers who often lack this specialist equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Extensive analyses are conducted to assess the quality of the customer\u2019s existing input material, as well as on the final product. The end result is a finished compound ready for trialling by the final customer.
