In my past, I worked on infant products containing DHA<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>) and ARA<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>), and in their opening article, Mintel discusses the trend of DHA use as an ingredient, the categories showing the most penetration, as well as some areas of opportunity.<\/p>\n

Also discussed is the high intensity sweetener market, showing trends in use of sucralose<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>), acesulfame K<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>), and aspartame<\/a>\u00a0(EU<\/a>) as ingredients in food and beverages, reviewing product launches and consumer opinions.<\/p>\n

Of particular interest may be their category analyst\u2019s 5-year predictions for the bread and gluten free markets. Their insights into new trending bread ingredients and possible new formats may work to balance the scale between these two markets.<\/p>\n
