The new masterbatch also improves processing and handling of LDPE\/LLDPE agricultural film.<\/p>\n<p>It delivers stable, long-lasting slip performance and avoids migration to the film surface while maintaining key mechanical properties such as tear strength and tensile elongation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Approved for food contact applications &#8211; <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The new masterbatch is approved for food contact under European Union, U.S. Food &amp; Drug Administration (FDA) and Chinese regulations, making it well suited for use in food packaging.<\/li>\n<li>It is also appropriate for non-food packaging, and for agricultural mulch, silage and greenhouse film applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surpasses organic slip additives &#8211; <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Compared to traditional organic additives, the silicone-based technology delivers a consistently low, stable COF that is unaffected by time duration or temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Importantly, unlike organics, this masterbatch will not migrate to the film surface. Non-migration between film layers or between the film and package contents helps prevent impact on downstream operations, such as printing and metallization, and potential contamination of food or other contents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Helps control costs &#8211; <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Another benefit of the new product is its cost-effectiveness. Unlike organics, it only needs to be incorporated into the outer (skin) layer of multi-layer films, reducing the amount required.
