David Spielhagen is a senior professional at UL Solutions with more than a decade of experience across technical operations, project leadership, and business development. Having joined UL in 2011, he brings deep hands‑on expertise in plastic compounding, injection molding, and materials validation, supported by a strong understanding of production‑relevant testing and approval requirements.

Trained initially as an Injection Molding Technician, David built his career through operational roles in both compounding and injection molding, developing a comprehensive view of material behavior, process stability, and reproducibility. Alongside his professional work, he completed qualifications as a Mechanical Engineering Technician (Design Engineering) and later earned a degree in Plastics Engineering in 2023.

After holding technical responsibility for compounding and injection molding operations, David transitioned into project coordination, managing customer projects end‑to‑end and acting as a central interface between technical teams and customers. Since 2025, he has been part of UL Solutions’ NMT Group, focusing on Technical Sales Support and Business Field Development, where he helps align technical capabilities with market needs in advanced plastics applications.
